Archeology and Construction
EMBT worked with a team of archeologists during the renovation at the Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona. Some products of the excavation even found their way into the new building.

When approaching a project, the best strategy may be to not design. Instead, immerse yourself in the given conditions, gathering and cataloging as much information as possible.
Should you look at the world as it is, or as it could be? "The best place where architecture can talk of the things-to-come is the schools, where so many of the architects mentioned in this chapter have waited for their opportunity to build, while implanting their ideas onto a student body, the “next generation” of architects through whom it is possible to live vicariously." Be wary of your teachers.
